Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 420 (Black) improved AIO CPU Water Cooler 1700,1851,AM4,AM5
Description
The Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420 is one of the most popular and efficient AIO (All-In-One) water cooling systems from Arctic, designed to provide exceptional cooling for the most demanding processors.
Ready Out of the Box - Easy Installation
The Liquid Freezer III is ready for immediate use thanks to the pre-installed radiator fans in a push configuration. The fan cables are integrated into the tubing casing, so only one cable needs to be connected to the motherboard. With the thermal compound MX-6 included in the delivery, you have everything you need for a quick and easy installation.

Future Compatibility
The Liquid Freezer III is highly compatible with Intel and AMD sockets. Intel will release the new Arrow Lake processors in the LGA1851 socket in the future. ARCTIC customers do not need to worry that the new processors will require new coolers. We guarantee full compatibility. All Liquid Freezer III can be used with Intel's new LGA1851 socket without restriction.

Contact frame for Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851
The independent loading mechanism (ILM) of Intel deforms the CPU by pressing it into the socket at two points with over 40 kilograms. This causes stress on the board, the die, and the solder layer between the die and the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader). With high thermal load, this can lead to long-term issues. The patented mounting frame from ARCTIC does not deform the CPU, massively reduces the mechanical load on the CPU, is quick and easy to install, and allows the cooler to be screwed onto the backplate of the CPU. As a result, the mechanical stress on the motherboard and the CPU is minimized, cooling performance remains stable, and installation is quick and simple.

Silent and Powerful VRM Fan
The voltage converters of motherboards often operate at their maximum temperature in combination with power-hungry CPUs. To compensate for the lack of airflow from a tower cooler, the Liquid Freezer III operates with a revised VRM fan. The 60 mm PWM-controlled fan allows for nearly silent cooling of the socket area when VRM cooling is insufficient, in cases with poor airflow or especially in overclocking scenarios. This allows for continuously higher loads and longer lifespan for the voltage converters.

Optimized, internally developed water pump
The Liquid Freezer III is equipped with a specially developed PWM-controlled water pump, which has been further optimized in terms of performance and noise. Thanks to the improved cold plate with an extended fin surface and optimized water tubes, the Liquid Freezer III increases its performance while maintaining its silent operation.

Full control or simple control
Separate Regulation: The pump, the VRM fan, and the radiator fan can be adjusted independently of each other. This allows, for example, the VRM fan speed to be controlled independently of the CPU and the analog adjustment of the voltage converters' temperature via PWM.
All-in-One: Like the Liquid Freezer II, this allows the control of the entire unit through a single connection, from which the speed of the radiator fans is derived. Consequently, the pump, VRM, and radiator fans can be easily controlled through a single PWM setting.

Native Offset Mounting AMD
For several generations, AMD has been using a multi-chiplet design for Ryzen desktop processors. Unlike Intel CPUs, the hotspot in these processors is not centrally located under the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader), but is slightly offset. Therefore, AMD's mounting solution has a 5 mm offset to achieve optimal heat dissipation.

Improved radiator design
The cooling surface of the 38 mm thick radiator has been expanded by 23% with the increase of the fin stack. This allows not only improved heat dissipation but also a larger volume of fluid. Consequently, heat buildup in the water cooling system is slowed down, and power and temperature spikes can be effectively managed for a longer period.

High Static Pressure
ARCTIC relies on the well-tested P fans, which have already received many awards for their excellent performance. The P series is particularly suitable for use in heatsinks and radiators with high fin density. Thanks to their high static pressure, they achieve significantly better results compared to fans designed for high airflow.
